Robert
Lawrence Friedman, M.A., is the president of Stress Solutions,
Inc., a company that provides stress management seminars to
such Fortune 500 corporations as American Express, BBDO International,
Chase Manhattan Bank, CMP Media, Comedy Channel, Creamer,
Dickson, Basford, HBO, Hyatt Hotels, Inc., Hoffman-LaRoche,
Pitney Bowes, Standard & Poors, Viacom, Xerox Corporation
among others.
Mr. Friedman is a practicing psychotherapist of fifteen years
and is affiliated with the Saint Barnabas Health Care System
in New Jersey, providing innovative stress management programs
for doctors, nurses, patients, and the community.
He has appeared on national television programs, most recently
as the on-air stress management consultant for the four-part
documentary series, "Class of '75", which aired
on The Discovery Health Channel in 2001. He has also appeared
on "The Today Show" on NBC, "Fox News"
and "The Alive and Wellness Show" along with Deepak
Chopra discussing his philosophy and beliefs and stress management.
Mr. Friedman is the author of The Healing Power of the Drum
-- A Psychotherapist Explores the Healing Power of Rhythm.
This groundbreaking book explores the extraordinary power
of rhythm to facilitate health in areas including stress and
anger management, Alzheimer's disease, autism, Parkinson's
disease, Post-Traumatic Stress Syndrome and others. His latest book, The Healing Power of the Drum - Book 2, a Journey of Rhythm and Stories continues his adventures.
Mr. Friedman is the co-chairman of the Health and Wellness
Committee for the Percussive Arts Society. He has appeared
in numerous magazine and newspaper articles focusing on wellness.
These publications include Cosmopolitan Magazine, The Washington
Times and Healthwise Magazine.
He is also an active member of the National Speaker's Association.
